Creating “Amatitlán” was a deeply personal project for me. Inspired by the once-beautiful lake, now sadly polluted, I envisioned a mutant fish symbolizing the lake’s decline. This piece contrasts the lake’s past glory with its current state. Originating from my ancestral roots, the artwork evolved from a sticker idea into a digital collage. Hand-drawn textures and mixed media techniques reflect my personal touch. This work captures both the environmental issues and cultural history of Amatitlán.
